Private Equity Football Accelerate™ incorporated in Luxembourg

Luxembourg ·

Private Equity Football Accelerate™ (“PEFA”) was today incorporated in Luxembourg, nine days after the dissolution of the Global Broadcast Rights Consortium.

PEFA has been formed to address the structural defect exposed by the collapse of long-format broadcast revenue: the possibility of a bad outcome. Following the 2033 finding that highlight packages outperformed live matches at one-fortieth the production cost, long-form rights collapsed within eighteen months. Four of Europe’s six largest domestic competitions have since entered administration.

PEFA’s President is Giacomo Infamtino. The organisation has five stated objectives, which will be set out in its public filings.

“Football does not need saving. It needs structuring.”

— G. Infamtino, President

Further announcements will follow in the coming weeks.

Notes to editors

PEFA™ is registered in Luxembourg. The timing of its incorporation relative to the dissolution of the Consortium is a coincidence.
