The Superior League

European football had become dangerously unpredictable. Clubs could lose matches. Clubs could miss qualification. Clubs could even be relegated. For institutional investors holding positions across multiple squads, this represented an unacceptable level of volatility.

The revenue base was also failing. Following the 2033 finding that highlight packages outperformed live matches at one-fortieth the production cost, long-form broadcast rights collapsed within eighteen months. Four of Europe’s six largest domestic competitions entered administration.

PEFA convened an emergency working group in the spring of 2035. Technology partners Microsack, Clawed AI and ChatGDP were invited to model recovery scenarios. Their conclusion was unanimous:

Football’s biggest problem was football.

Private Equity Football Accelerate was incorporated in Luxembourg on 14 May 2035, nine days after the dissolution of the Global Broadcast Rights Consortium. Three of its five stated objectives are redacted in public filings.

Under President Giacomo Infamtino, PEFA removed the sport’s most inefficient feature: sporting merit.

Fifteen founding franchises were awarded permanent membership. No relegation. No qualification. No existential risk. Their participation is guaranteed regardless of performance, form, managerial competence, or whether they finish 15th.

The remaining places are contested through the Synergy Draft™, which provides a global platform for ambitious organizations with sufficient capital and/or a strategically significant fanbase. Membership is reviewed annually. Payments are reviewed continuously.

Microsack provides Superior Venue™ infrastructure and crowd audio calibration. Clawed AI supplies tactical inference, opposition modeling and live player valuation. ChatGDP generates post-match statements, press conference responses, and the supporter reaction to both.

The Superior League is committed to global representation. Each season, clubs from outside Europe are invited to compete in the world’s premier football competition.*

Eligibility is determined by a proprietary weighting of market size, brand compatibility, social engagement, broadcast reach, luxury hospitality demand, subscription conversion rate, private equity interest, and previous footballing success where relevant.

Applications are assessed by the Global Inclusion Committee, which meets twice annually and does not publish its reasoning.

No region is excluded. Some are simply more included.

Following the 2035 collapse of long-format broadcast revenue, PEFA™ — Private Equity Football Accelerate™ — was formed to address the sport’s structural defect: the possibility of a bad outcome. Under President Giacomo Infamtino, capital partners and technology leadership (Microsack, Clawed AI, ChatGDP) were invited to design a replacement.

Fifteen founding members hold permanent, un-relegatable seats. Their revenues are guaranteed regardless of performance, form, or final position.

The remaining places are allocated each season by the Synergy Draft™, an algorithmic lottery weighted by subscription tier. Every continent is represented. Every continent pays.

Results remain unscripted. Revenue does not.
